Spencer Makenzie’s invites all cornhole fans, players, tailgaters and anyone who enjoys a great outdoor party to The Throw Down Cornhole Festival. This annual 3 day Cornhole Festival is held on Friday August 23, 2024 thru Sunday August 25, 2024 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. Sign Ups open Thursday March 14, 2024 9:00am PST. The Throw Down Cornhole Festival is the largest cornhole festival in the world. 1088 Teams battling for over $300,000.00 in payouts this is a must attend event for all cornhole fans and players of all levels. Main Cornhole Tournament sells out every year!
 
Last year there was 1024 teams battling for for over $300,000.00 in cash payouts over the 3 day weekend of cornhole. With additional cornhole tournaments being add over the 3 days to win more cash and prices. And that’s not all… teams with California and Ventura County residency will be competing for side cash payouts.

The Truck Show is back for it's second year to the festival on Saturday, highlighting vehicles from the late 1950’s to 1980’s. Some of the cars featured will be C10s, Ford Square Bodies, Broncos, Blazers, Scouts and other vehicles theme related. Plus once the sun goes down join Spencer Makenzie’s and the city of Ventura for some live music and an outdoor party like no other. This annual cornhole festival has become a must attend summer event.
 
Past summers has had its share of surprise performances, among them surf guitar legend Dick Dale headlining the bill two years in a row and rapper Chuck D. of Public Enemy fame dropping in a couple years back for an impromptu jam performance of the classic “Bring the Noise.” Spotify fan favorite “Sunny Ledfurd, Mandex the ultimate 80’s cover band, Ventura County’s superstars A.D.D, Rey Fresco, Morie & the Heavy Hitters. So don’t be left out on experiencing the largest cornhole festival in the world.
 
General Terms

All persons entering the festival are subject to search of their persons and belongings at the discretion of the The Throw Down Productions LLC (TTD). 

 

ACTIONS:

• By entering the festival grounds, you expressly assume all risk and danger of personal injury and all other hazards, which include, but are not limited to, property damage arising from or related in any way to The Throw Down Productions LLC, whether occurring prior to, during, or after the event

• All forms of smoking are strictly prohibited (including but not limited to cigarettes, e-cigs & vapes)

• By entering the event grounds, you willingly give your permission for TTD and media partners to capture your image via video and photography for its unrestricted use in all forms of media/marketing, without compensation

• Moshing, crowd surfing, and stage diving is prohibited

• Nudity and or exposed body parts is prohibited under California County Code 32.1002

PROHIBITED ITEMS:

• Outside food or drink (exception for documented medical needs, must have a doctor’s note with matching ID)

• Cans, coolers, bottles, glass containers, CamelBaks / bladders

• Drugs and drug paraphernalia

• Professional photo/video cameras or audio recording devices

• Skateboards, motorized vehicles, bicycles

• Footballs, Baseball, Frisbees or Playing Catch

• Colors or badges

• Drones

• Umbrellas (parasols ok)

• Weapons or firearms, including pocket knives

• Fireworks or explosives

• Laser pointers or selfie sticks

• Stickers, flyers, solicitations

• Pets (guide/service dogs OK)

 

Disclaimer: The Person using this ticket so assumes all risk of personal injury and loss or damage to property. Management reserves the right to revoke the license granted by this ticket, you must be 21 years of age or older with a valid ID to consume alcohol. This is a rain or shine event and there are no refunds. In the unlikely chance of a Thunder, Wind, Lightning Storm or Fire and the event gets canceled due to safety concerns there will be no refunds.

Government Warning: According to the surgeon General, women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects. Consumption of Alcoholic beverages impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery and may cause health problems.

All CDC and State of California guidelines will be followed, and we are working closely with Ventura County and the City of Ventura to ensure this event meets or exceeds all recommended standards.

 

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT by entering the fairgrounds ALL (“Participant”), acknowledge and agrees to the terms below. Each Person will be participating as a volunteer or participant in the The Throw Down Productions LLC activities at the Ventura County Fairgrounds premises and facilities (the “Fair”). In-state spectators only. No more than one household and all members of the guest’s party will be in-state visitors. I AM AWARE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND RELATED GOVERNMENTAL ORDERS,DIRECTIVES AND GUIDELINES (COLLECTIVELY “DIRECTIVES”), INCLUDING DIRECTIVES FOR FREQUENT HAND WASHING, SOCIAL DISTANCING AND USE OF FACE MASKS IN PUBLIC LOCATIONS. I AM AWARE THAT THESE ACTIVITIES ARE OCCURRING IN A PUBLIC LOCATION DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, AND ALSO POTENTIALLY INVOLVE LIVESTOCK OR OTHER FAIRGROUNDS ACTIVITIES, AND ARE THEREFORE HAZARDOUS ACTIVITIES. I AM AWARE THAT I COULD BE INFECTED, SERIOUSLY INJURED OR EVEN DIE DUE TO COVID-19 OR DUE TO ACTIVITIES ON THE FAIRGROUNDS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LIVESTOCK ACTIVITIES. I AM VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THESE ACTIVITIES WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE DANGER INVOLVED AND AGREE TO ASSUME ANY AND ALL RISKS OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, WHETHER THOSE RISKS ARE KNOWN OR UNKNOWN. As consideration for being permitted by the Fair, the State of California (“State”), the County of Ventura(the “County”), and any lessor of the fair premises (“Lessor”), to participate in these activities and use the Fair premises and facilities, I forever release the Fair, The Throw Down Productions LLC (Producer Of Shows), the State, California Fair Services Authority (“CFSA”), the County, the Lessor, and any fair affiliated organization, along with their respective directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, contractors, and representatives (collectively“Releasees”) from any and all liabilities, causes of action, lawsuits, claims, demands, or damages of any kind whatsoever that I, my assignees, heirs, distributees, guardians, next of kin, spouse and legal representatives now have, or may have in the future, for injury, death, or property damage, related to (i) my participation in these activities, (ii) the negligence or other acts of any Releasee, whether directly connected to these activities or not, and however caused, or (iii) the condition of the premises where these activities occur, whether or not I am then participating in the activities. I also agree that I, my assignees, heirs, distributees, guardians, next of kin, spouse and legal representatives will not make a claim against, sue, or attach the property of any Releasee in connection with any of the matters covered by the foregoing release. I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT BETWEEN MYSELF AND THE FAIR, The Throw Down Productions LLC, THE STATE, CFSA, THE COUNTY, AND THE LESSOR.

Refund Policy

All items are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Miscellaneous Policies

Ventura County Fairgrounds: RV/Camping Regulations: 

 NO SPOTS/SITES WILL BE HELD FOR GROUPS WANTING TO PARK NEAR EACH OTHER. IF YOUR ENTIRE GROUP IS NOT ON GROUNDS THEN YOU MUST WAIT IN MAIN LOT UNTIL EVERYONE IN YOUR GROUP ARRIVES AND THEN YOU WILL BE PARKED; BUT NO GUARANTEE OF SPOT LOCATION WILL BE MADE. HOLDING SPOTS/SITES FOR OTHER CAMPERS IS STRICTLY PROHIBTED. 

 DRUGS, WEAPONS, FIGHTING, LEWD CONDUCT, RECKLESS DRIVING, SPEEDING, MOTORIZED/NON MOTORIZED SCOOTERS OR SKATEBOARDING IS NOT PERMITTED 

 ANY TYPE OF FENCING, BARRIERS, PALLETS, ETC. ARE NOT PERMITTED 

 ALL RV SITES MUST BE KEPT CLEAN FOR THE ENJOYMENT OF ALL OCCUPANTS 

 ONLY ONE RV AND VEHICLE PER SITE. NO PARKING IN EMPTY SITES. 

 SPEED LIMIT IS 10 MPH 

 QUIET TIME IS FROM MIDNIGHT TO 7:00 AM 

 NO PETS ALLOWED- ONLY SERVICE PETS ALLOWED 

 BAR-B-QUES ARE ALLOWED IN THE CAMPING AREA ONLY (PROPANE ONLY, NO COALS) 

 ALL FORMS OF OPEN BURNING ARE STRICTLY PROHIBTED. OPEN BURNING INLCUDES BUT MAY NOT BE LIMITED TO PORTABLE OPEN BURNING CLAY SOLID FUELED FIREPLACES KNOWN AS “CHIMENEAS,” SMALL ROUND “CAMPGROUND” FIREPLACES OR FIRE PITS, BONFIRES, ELEVATED TORCHES KNOWN AS TIKI TORCHES, AND SKY LANTERNS. 

 FIREWORKS OF ANY KIND INCLUDING FIRECRACKERS AND SPARKLERS ARE ALSO PROHIBITED. 

 ALCOHOL IS ONLY PERMITTED INSIDE THE FOOTPRINT OF THE CAMGROUND AREA.
